Spring Concert  "Dark Serenity"

Saturday, April 18th, 2009  7:30 pm

Long Prairie/Grey Eagle Auditorium

The spring program pursues the heart of  human nature's core to survive.  Many of the pieces on the program feature parts of  fictional and non-fictional devastating moments in life.

Schindler's List Suite composed by John Williams is based on the real life persecution of  Jews inside encampments.  Our guest soloist, Dr Erin Aldridge, will be performing the three movement suite on the violin.

Other profound pieces on the program will depict other dark moments where peace and serenity are found in the midst of all the chaos.  Click here for more for more information regarding this concert.

If you want to get a sneak peek of the soloist, come join us for a free strings master class at the Long Prairie/Grey Eagle High School Choir Room on Friday, April 17, 2009 at 4:00pm - 6:00pm.

Oppportunity for Schools in the Communities

The Long Prairie Chamber Orchestra has started a program to offer a free season pass to any student involved in a music program.

We see the need to contribute through diversified programming and professional guest artists and wish to reach out to the communities' schools in hope to see more and more students and schools take advantage of the great concert opportunities.

If you or your school is interested in this program, please use the "Contact Us" link along with contact name, schools, how many students in music programs and we will send you the free season passes to your school.
