Third Annual  "Ice Cream Social" Sunday, August 17, 2008 2:00pm - 4:30pm at the Christie House lawn.  

Sit back, converse and relax as we celebrate music through local groups coming to show their musical talent and enjoying ice cream.  We will have displays in the carriage house for those interested to learn more about the orchestra's vision and what it has been doing and where it is going. 

 

 

Fall Concert - "Carmen"  Saturday, November 1, 2008 at 7:30pm Long Prairie/Grey Eagle High School Auditorium. 

 The orchestra will perform the concert version of the opera "Carmen" alongside fabulous opera vocalists Ruth Jacobson, Dr Hope Koehler, Dr William Koehler and William Bastian.    Come prepared to be spellbound by this tragic work of art.

Winter Concert - "Handel's Messiah" Sunday, December 14 2008 at 7:30 pm, Sauk Centre High School Auditorium.  

The orchestra has requested the community members around the region to collectively perform parts of the Messiah by Handel.  To the end the evening's delightful program, we invite the chorus, orchestra audience to join in a sing-a-long.  If you have questions about choir participation, contact the music director.

 

 

Spring Concert -   Saturday, April 18, 2009 at 7:30 pm, Long Prairie/Grey Eagle High School Auditorium.  

We are very fortunate to have guest soloist Dr Erin Aldridge, concertmaster of the Duluth-Superior Symphony Orchestra performing a Violin Concerto.   Erin's sound is sweet and lyrical yet produces a dramatic and powerful resonance throughout the hall.  This will be a concert you will leave wishing for more.
